We are on NM
Never did get full satellite TV in Seligman...not a good sign for Manuel's time in Taos. Something wrong with receiver, dish, or us! Cable in Gallup will make tonight a better night. Then on to Taos where they only have antenna and 5 channels.

Grandma's Girls II...2011

Two years later and we are heading for Red River, not far from Taos. Emails have been flying back and forth. Peggy and Mary Beth are on their way in RVs with Larry and Manuel. The latter will park in Taos and have their own great adventure. On Sunday, Bev, Barb, Deborah and I fly to Albuquerque from Indiana, California, Washington and Texas where we will rent the group SUV and travel to Bev's time-share in Red River.

The weather will be warm (80's) with T-Storms possible every day. As Peggy said, pack for every eventuality but snow. I guess that means an umbrella, changes of clothing if we get wet...I wonder if my Costa Rica poncho needs another good time?

I have been working like crazy to get all my volunteer work under control before I leave...agendas and reports for meetings I will miss, dividing up $500 of fair trade coffee, chocolate, olive oil orders for the monthly church marketplace August 14 (because of the weather and church office closed for vacation it has to come to my house tomorrow, otherwise I would pass it off to someone else), getting Facebook page underway for the group of IWP mentors I will support in the coming year. Lynn will be here for another week so he can close the house and do final yard work. That's a relief.

Once I leave I can let it all go...the yard, the to-do lists, the frustrating news reports out of Washington (media cleansing ahead) and enjoy my sisters and cousins...touring, talking, cooking, eating, staying away from fake policemen. Then on to CA for Lynn's family reunion in the Mendocino Mts with grandson Kepler, time with beloved Illig aunties, Lynn's sister, niece and brother in law.

Now off to my pre-vacation pedicure!
